new name

Hello!

I've changed the name of this blog to "knitterrunnrgirl's blog". I think it sounds better...... certainly not as blah! Anyway I came up with the idea after I signed up to participate in www.ravelry.com. The website, hosted by frecklegirl is really cool! I got my info regarding my "secret pal" for the fiber frenzy swap!!!!!! I'm psyched, it sounds like fun.... I'm gonna start shopping for my package to send this week.

WIP's...well, a pair of fingerless gloves (www.interweave.com) Nicholas' fingerless gloves to be exact.... is in the works for my B.F., and I am finishing up on the Wonderful Wallaby in (not so crazy about it but it holds up to an active 10-year-old) Bernat Camouflage acrylic yarn.... and a pair of jaywalkers (pattern my grumperina) in some superwash wool.

I finished the mismatched (bad.....tofutsies I guess) thanks to pooling of the dye, I am told by SWTC's rep..... waffle stitch socks....What a disappointment those are...but I'll wear them I suppose....under my work uniform.

WEll, I guess that's about all... it is so humid and hot here..... I don't feel like doing much. ttfn

So, here is the start of my Bejeweled scarf. I'm kind of on a deadline, trying to finish it for a lunch meeting Wednesday afternoon with a good friend. Hopefully, I can getting it done. I started it yesterday during the Patriots/ Jets game and during all my cleaning frenzy.

Cardi from Fall Knitscene in progress
This cardi is coming out nicely, if I can say so myself. They use a bright, almost kelly green yarn in the mag issue, the color of the Debbie Bliss yarn I have is like a pumpkin color. I really like it! The pattern itself is easy to memorize.

FUN STUFF!

Just for kicks and giggles
