Ewwww it's sooooo cold!!!!!

Hi!!!

It is sooo cold out!!! The temp really took a nosedive yesterday! Oh well, Welcome to March madness! I really can't wait for the more stable wether to get here. I didn't mention in my previous blog, but I have two events to train for now, with probably a few more sprinkled in between. Mt BF and I are officially registered for the Vermont City Marathon on May 27,2007 and once again Jay Mountain Challenge in July. We just absolutely love that race. Last year was the first time we entered and we had a blast! we were in mud up to our knees, we waded through brooks, we went up the mountain on trails and the food at the end was fantastic! The B&B we stayed @ was the English Rose Inn. On What fun!

More Cool Stuff!

Hey!!!
Well, it's been a couple of weeks but, I've been busy as I am sure you have.......... in that time.... I have....welcomed my boyfriend back from A.T., finished off 2 London Beanies, a Hot Head from S 'n' B, a pair of socks, the 3 hour sweater from the 1930's (that actually took 5 hours but who was counting). Did my tax returns....... got flustered over one form sent to me by my former mortgage company. found out the answer about that one form........ sent in my tax returns......... started research and purchasing a spinning wheel (something I've always wanted). and purchased a new living room set (oh my!, the kiddos are in for a shock with the new furniture comes new rules!) and got a new wrought iron bed off ebay for myself (when we moved I left my old head board that I have had for 20+ years and from my former marriage behind). yee hah!!! or as my BF would say hoo ah!

Anyway, the spinning wheel I got was the Kromski's Prelude. Dave at Cabin Cove Mercantile gave me some awesome advice about what to look for and where to go. I purchased it at the Coppermoose in Vermont. I am hoping to have it by the end of the week. Now as long as the little gremlin like in the fairy tale from Rapunzel does not appear I will be all set. I'll be happy with wool and other natural fibers.

Lets see what am I working on now (WIP's). Hmmm. got some potholders going in Sugar in Cream, the Felted military belt from "Knitting with Balls" (neat book btw), still have the Wallaby standing by and the Central Park Hoodie which I pick up every night and work a couple of rows.

Oh and lastly, for my birthday next week.......... I went and got myself my annual tattoo.......... I now have one of my favorite pets (well they're all my favorites (except for the lizards) but, I have Blacky our 12 year-old tuxedo cat forever immortalized on my upper left arm and shes playing with......... you guessed it............ a ball of yarn!!!!! I will post a pic............

Cardi from Fall Knitscene in progress
This cardi is coming out nicely, if I can say so myself. They use a bright, almost kelly green yarn in the mag issue, the color of the Debbie Bliss yarn I have is like a pumpkin color. I really like it! The pattern itself is easy to memorize.

FUN STUFF!

Just for kicks and giggles
